I'd always wanted to write a beautiful ballad, and was inspired by the birth of my son to create I Never Knew - a song that acknowledges the power of love. I remember searching for what seemed hours for the electric guitar voice Sluggo was going to use to accent this tune, when I handed him my acoustic and said, "try this." I'm quite proud of this tune and still can get moved when I hear it or play it.
